Summary: Street thief Kierse is trapped in the library of an old Brownstone with a monster filled with terrible power and darkness. When, instead of killing her, the monster offers her a job, she gets a glimpse into who she really is, which could be something far worse than a monster.
Whether you're getting back into reading or looking to connect with fellow readers in our community, Book Club for Adults is for you! This year we will be reading from the Texas Library Association's 2025 Lariat Adult Fiction List. All books are available in the VVCL collection and/or Hoopla Digital.

It is recommended to register for this program, which is open to teens between the ages of 12-18. If there are any extra seats available, they will be given to children under 12 only. Parents are welcome to wait outside or pick up their teens/kids after the program ends. We provide a dedicated space for teens/kids to engage and express themselves independently without parental supervision. This program is proudly sponsored by the FVVCL
